Synapsa encourages open sharing and dissemination of research. In accordance with our licensing terms, we allow authors to deposit various versions of their work in institutional or subject repositories.

Authors retain copyright to their work and grant the journal the right of first publication.

Accepted Version (Postprint): Authors are encouraged and permitted to deposit the accepted manuscript (the version after peer review but before the publisher's copyediting and layout) in their institutional repository or on a personal website immediately upon publication. The deposit should include a full citation and a link to the final published version on the journal's website.

Published Version (Version of Record): Deposit of the final, published PDF (Version of Record) is also permitted under the terms of the Creative Commons Attribution (CC BY) 4.0 license.
